FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

20 YEAR OLD ACCUSED OF PRETENDING TO BE 16 TO SEXUALLY ABUSE YOUNG GIRLS, INDICTED ON 66 MORE CHARGES.

October 6, 2026

Portland, OR- Multnomah County Deputy District Attorney Rachna Hajari announced today that a Multnomah County Grand Jury has indicted 20-year-old Ethan Bohanan on 66 counts connected to sexually abusing young girls. DDA Hajari is prosecuting the case.

The indictment charges Mr. Bohanan with sexually abusing five different victims between the ages of 15 and 16.

The charges include 15 counts of Using a Child in a Display of Sexually Explicit Conduct; 15 counts of Encouraging Child Sexual Abuse in the Second Degree; 9 counts of Rape in the Third Degree; 6 counts of Sodomy in the Third Degree; 16 counts of Sexual Abuse in the Second Degree and 5 counts of Sexual Abuse in the Third Degree.

DDA Hajari thanked the victims for coming forward.

“Participating in prosecution can be an incredibly intimidating and scary process. These victims have shown incredible strength and courage in coming forward and telling their stories. We appreciate their willingness to participate in this process and to help ensure this defendant is held accountable and that no others are harmed in the future.”

Gresham Police Detective Adam Wright said, “This is a case that has unfolded over multiple months and deals with some extremely disturbing behavior by this individual. A person posing as a child to gain access to these (sports) leagues is abhorrent and should not occur. We believe there are additional victims out there and we are aware that Mr. Bohanan victimized children across not just Multnomah County but other counties as well.”

Gresham Police ask anyone who is on the fence about coming forward to contact Gresham Detective Lindsay Friderich at: Lindsay.Friderich@GreshamOregon.Gov or call her directly at 503-618-3128.
