PORTLAND, Oregon – Today Multnomah County District Attorney Mike Schmidt announced that Riz’o Eonte Lucas, 18, was arraigned for Murder in the Second Degree with a Firearm and Unlawful Use of a Weapon with a Firearm.
The charges stemmed from a fatal shooting that occurred just before noon on Friday, April 8, 2022. Portland Police Officers responded to a report that someone had been shot under the Burnside Bridge, near Northwest Naito Parkway and Northwest Couch Street.
Officers found the victim on the ground and provided medical attention. The victim sustained a gunshot wound to his face just above his neck and was transported to the hospital where he was later pronounced deceased. Officers located and arrested Lucas near the area of the shooting. His firearm was recovered.
