Adult in Custody Information
Below are four (4) resources that provide inmate custody information.
Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO)
MCSO provides public access to inmate data and release information on its website. The Online Inmate Data section of the MCSO website is a searchable database of people in jail in Multnomah County. The Domestic Violence Victim Notification section of the MCSO website is an online form for victims of domestic violence to register to be notified before the offender is released from jail.
Victim Information System in ORegon (VISOR)
VISOR is a program providing notifications about major status changes of individuals in custody (IIC) in Oregon. VISOR also provides information to resources on a local and national level. Notifications can be received by email, text message, phone call, and/or TTY. Currently, notifications include IIC transfer, death in custody, advanced release (notification prior to release), release from custody, legal name change, escape, recapture, and return to custody.
Oregon Offender Search (OOS)
OOS is a public web site that provides access to information on offenders currently in the custody of the Oregon Department of Corrections. OOS displays public information about offenders and includes offenses associated with their current incarceration. It is not a history of all of the offenses for which the offender has been charged, sentenced, or incarcerated.
Federal Bureau of Prisons Inmate Locator
The Bureau is responsible for the custody and care of sentenced Federal inmates, as well as a significant number of pretrial detainees and pre-sentenced offenders for the U.S. Marshals Service and the Immigration and Naturalization Service. The Bureau also has custodial responsibility for District of Columbia felons sentenced to terms of imprisonment.
