The Multnomah District Attorney’s Office has charged the defendant with one count of second-degree murder and unlawful use of a weapon and is scheduled for arraignment for those charges earlier this afternoon.

Last Friday, Chief Counsel to the Oregon Department of Justice Michael Slauson wrote a letter to the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office (MCDA) outlining his findings in a complaint wagered against DA Mike Schmidt among others in the District Attorney’s office. The complainants were Joseph Owan and Russell Earl Schultz.
